Dublin Youth Choir and Dublin Youth Chamber Choir present a special programme of Winter Music and Christmas Carols.
Based in the heart of Dublin's city centre, Dublin Youth Choir began in January 2017 with the launch of Dublin Youth Chamber Choir. Following a successful first term, the main Dublin Youth Choir and Male Voice Choir were formed in September 2017. The singers receive expert tuition from experienced vocal tutors and highly skilled musicianship staff.
In December 2017, Chamber Choir was awarded first place in the Youth Choir category of the RTÉ Lyric FM Choirs for Christmas competition. Chamber Choir has also received coaching from the BBC Singers as part of a collaboration with the Belfast Philharmonic Youth Chamber Choir.
The success of this event encouraged both groups to make the collaboration permanent and the Cross Border Youth Choir was formed in October 2017. CBYC won the National Youth Choir competition at the City of Derry International Choral Festival in October 2018. 2018 was very exciting for DYC, including two guest performances in the National Concert Hall, a recording project for the Royal Albert Hall, and a performance in the National Gallery of Ireland for Culture Night.
Join us to celebrate another great year together and to look forward to the start of an exciting 2019!
